I traveled to report on stories and to cover the Nevada Caucuses. I was also part of the various teams that helped create our voting guides for readers to better navigate the massive vote-by-mail push during the pandemic. Once the elections were over, I became a part of out newsletter team and COVID-19 Live Blog team. For the Times’ The Morning Newsletter I helped create and fact check our weekly News Quiz. At the same time, I was reporting on COVID-19 updates around the world for the COVID-19 Live Blog, while also working with our team in Hong Kong to keep global readers updated with the viruses’ latest updates. U.N. Women

August - December 2017

As an intern at the United Nations I worked with the communications team to research and put together campaigns relevant to U.N. Women’s mission and the U.N. strategic development goals. For the months there I specifically worked in research related to violence against women. I also worked on creating and writing the 2016-17 Annual Report timeline for U.N. Women.

At the Ithaca Times, I reported on a wide variety of news topics such as local politics and immigration issues. Did research and investigations. Conducted interviews with people and officials. Attended press conferences and public meetings weekly. Assisted with copy editing and fact checking.
